Indiana Commercial Swimming Pool Code
A training seminar sponsored by the Indiana Association of Building Officials, Inc. a chapter of the International Code Council, Inc.
Indiana Association of Building Officials will host a seminar on March 24, 2016 to present and discuss the Indiana Commercial Swimming Pool Code.
Date: March 24, 2016
- Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
- Class will start at 9:00 a.m.
- There will be 1 hour for lunch
- Class will conclude at 4:00 p.m.
Cost:
Member: $75, this fee will cover the instructor and materials
Non-member: $100, this fee will cover the instructor and materials
Lunch will not be provided

The Course is worth .6 CEUs/6 contact hours.
Class Information:
Training will provide an in-depth overview of the Indiana Swimming Pool, Spa and Water Attractions Code (675 IAC 20). Participants will have an understanding of how the code was developed, and will have a working knowledge of the core principles needed to correctly interpret and apply the code.
Training methods used will employ lecture, group discussion and visual aids.
Participants, at the conclusion of the training, will be able to accurately apply the code to the various types of Swimming Pools, Spas and Water Attractions.

Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz Engineers, Senior Plan Reviewer, Third-party plan review for the cities of Indianapolis, Sellersburg and Louisville. Assisting with JTL marketing plan, as building code services beyond plan review are available to local jurisdictions.
State of Indiana, DHS/Code Services, Code Specialist, Chaired code review committees on Mechanical, Fuel Gas, Electrical, Residential, Energy Conservation, and Swimming Pool codes. Authored State's Visitability code. Authored amendments to dozens of adopted NFPA Standards.
State of Indiana, DFBS/Plan Review, Plan Reviewer, Sate on committee to initiate the electronic filing process with State plan review.
State of Indiana, INDOT/Pre-Engineering Studies, Engineering Assistant, Authored early design engineer reports on projects ranging from added travel lanes, small structure and bridge replacements, to road relocations. These aided in public hearings, environmental impact studies, and construction.
Education: BS from Ball State University, including 3 years in the College of Architecture and Planning; and an AAS from IUPUI in Construction Technology
Personal: Lifelong Indianapolis resident. Married with four adult children - youngest will be attending Marian University this coming fall on a football scholarship. Latest addition to the family is a 6-month-old grandson/future Eagle Scout (will be third generation). Interests: Church, Family, Public Safety; Scouting, and lots of hobbies.
Please register no later than one week prior to class date. Registrations received after Thursday, March 17 will not be guaranteed class materials at the time of class.
Cancellation Policy - All cancellations must be received in writing no later than March 17, 2016 to avoid penalty. All late cancellations and no shows will be billed $10. Faxed cancellations must be verified they were received. It is the responsibility of the registrant to make the verification. Emergencies will be dealt with on an individual basis.
