2020 Indiana Residential Code: Performing Residential Plumbing Inspections
A training seminar sponsored by the Indiana Association of Building Officials, Inc. a chapter of the International Code Council, Inc.

This is a virtual class and will be held via Zoom. The link to Zoom and a PDF of the handout will be emailed directly from ICC to registrants. The course completion certificate will be emailed by ICC several days after the class.

This course consists of six contact hours and earns 0.6 ICC PPN CEU's.
Course Description:
This course reviews the plumbing requirements of the 2020 Indiana Residential Code. The details provided will enhance your understanding of the plumbing terminology, equipment, materials and methods of installation as related to residential construction. This seminar concentrates on the plumbing portion of the IRC. It covers the minimum requirements for residential plumbing inspections. You will also discuss major portions of a residential plan. During this training participants will experience lecture, hear relevant examples, and participate in group discussions pertaining to a residential plumbing inspections. Participants will also participate in activities that involve a checklist for performing residential plumbing inspections.
Presenter: Jerry Flanik
Jerry Flanik is a member of the Ohio Building Officials Association and a Past President of Building Officials Conference of North East Ohio. He is an International Code Council (ICC) Instructor, ICC-Certified Master Code Professional, LEED BD+C, and holds over 30 various licenses and certifications.
Mr. Flanik is the owner of Associated Consulting Solutions, LLC (ACS) in Cleveland, Ohio. Jerry’s wide range of disciplines promote essential partnerships with clients in order to provide comprehensive technical solutions. Additionally, ACS is an ICC Preferred Education Provider specializing in private and governmental educational services. Previously, he served as the Chief Building Official in Lake County, Ohio for 16 years. Prior to working as a code official and engineer, he owned and operated a design build contracting company.
Mr. Flanik holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University; as well as, a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He is also an adjunct faculty instructor at Lakeland College in the Civil and Electrical Engineering Departments.
Jerry is a professional consultant and educator for private businesses and government agencies throughout the United States, and for the International Code Council throughout the world.
Registration Deadline:
The registration deadline is May 23, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Registrations received after May 23 will not be guaranteed class materials at the time of class.
After registration is successfully submitted a confirmation email will be sent to the email address entered during registration.
Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be received in writing no later than May 23, 2021 to avoid penalty. All late cancellations and no shows will be billed $50. Faxed cancellations must be verified they were received. It is the responsibility of the registrant to make the verification. Emergencies will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Attendance Notice Regarding Certificates/Funding:
Indiana Association of Building Officials is committed to complying with the requirements of the Division of Fire and Building Safety, as they administer the education fund.
As Indiana Association of Building Officials submits the request for funding on behalf of the membership, IABO will not submit an attendee’s name who does NOT attend the entire class; failure to attend the entire class renders that attendee ineligible for funding.
